Conference Brief

The world is changing at a fast pace and mathematics, computational sciences and engineering technologies are playing major roles in new innovations and impacting the world by creating a prosperous and inclusive society. Mathematics is essence of life, a conceptual entity for defining anything and any process in nature. Computational science is the rapidly growing multidisciplinary field that involves the development of models and simulations to understand the natural systems. Engineering technologies are use of scientific principles to design and build machines, structures and other items to develop solutions to world’s biggest technical issues. All these three fields provides us tools and techniques to solve the complex problems of the world where the mathematical science remains at the core of all computing and engineering developments & advancements.

The 3rd International Conference on Computing, Mathematics and Engineering Technologies (iCoMET 2020) is a remarkable effort of Sukkur IBA University towards its commitment for creating a research-based community. Having the theme “Idea to Innovation for Building the Knowledge Economy”, the iCoMET endeavors to provide a platform for researchers to present their contributions to the recent technological advances, innovations and experiences in the area of computing, mathematics and engineering technologies.

The conference has three major tracks and twenty-seven sub-tracks. The deliberations is in the form of accepted papers presentations, keynotes and invited talks. Specifically, the conference focuses on all areas of Software Engineering, Computer Communication and Networks, Social Networking and Data Sciences, Ubiquitous Computing, Vision and Image Processing, Machine learning and Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Renewable Energy Sources and Storage, Electrical Machines and Adjustable Speed Drives, Power Electronics and its Application, High Voltage Engineering and Insulation Technology, Antennas and wave Propagation, Solid State Electronics, Automation and Robotics, Sensors Technology, Communications and Signal Processing Technology, Biomedical Electronics/ICT , Applied Mathematical Analysis, Mathematical Finance, Algebra, Geometry, Statistics Fluid Mechanics, Numeric of DOE’s, Abstract Algebra, Matric Differential Geometry and PDE’s and Stochastic Processes. Researchers from more than 30 countries including USA, UK, Rome, Canada, France, Netherlands, Norway, China, Poland, Spain, Korea, Turkey, Malaysia, Pakistan and others submitted 490 research papers covering various domains related to conference theme. After the rigorous review process from technical program committee comprising of more than 100 renowned researchers from various technological advance countries, a total of 156 papers are accepted for publication in the conference proceedings. Out of 156, a total of 136 research papers were presented in the conference which will be included in the conference proceedings. Overall, the acceptance ratio for conference proceedings is 30%.
